DESCRIPTION
Electrostatic epoxy powder coating is a material coating process, where dry, free-flowing powders are applied to a target electrostatically and then cured with heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. It is usually used to create a pre-determined hard finish, which maintains its color hue, and is tougher than conventional paint. After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where with the addition of heat, a very durable weather resistant finish is achieved.
Because electrostatic epoxy powder coating does not have a liquid carrier, it can produce thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings without running or sagging, and electrostatic epoxy powder coating produces minimal appearance differences between horizontally coated surfaces and vertically coated surfaces. Because no carrier fluid evaporates away, the coating process emits few volatile organic compounds. Finally, several powder colors can be applied before curing them all together, allowing color blending and bleed special effects in a single layer.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

ATTENTIONS
●To guarantee the coating ratio, the whole powder coating system (Spray gun, HV Control Cabinet, powder coating booth and conveyance chain) must has good grounding property. The ground wire should bury into the wet earth to conduct the static away, which could avoid poor absorption and coalescence of the metal powder cause by electrostatic shielding
●The static gun should be overall cleaned up and the wash the conductive needle by alcohol every week so as to guarantee there will be stable high voltage on nozzle.
●The recycled powder should be used with new powder after sifting. The automatic recycle system has auto adding device, which should be checked regularly.
●The temperature of the oven should be examined periodically to guarantee the curing of the coating so as to achieve the best mechanical property.
